HUD has announced that they are reducing the maximum LTV/CLTV percentages on Cash Out Refinances. Currently, the maximum LTV/CLTV allowed on an FHA transaction is 85%. Effective for case numbers assigned on 9/1/19 or later, HUD is limiting the LTV/CLTV to 80%. All loans with case numbers assigned prior to 9/1/19 may use the higher LTV/CLTV. As a reminder, HUD prohibits FHA case number assignments being requested until the lender has a valid application from the borrower.
